8(a) STARS III is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract engineered to provide cutting-edge technology solutions from award-winning 8(a) small businesses to federal agencies. Using 8(a) STARS III will enable you to access FedGovIT’s products & services through an established contract vehicle instead of traditional, open market methods – saving time and taxpayer money.
8(a) STARS III, a small business set-aside GWAC, provides flexible access to customized IT solutions from a large, diverse pool of 8(a) industry partners. With a $50 billion program ceiling and a 5-year base period with one 3-year option, 8(a) STARS III allows for long-term planning of large-scale program requirements while strengthening opportunities for 8(a) small businesses.
8(a) Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services (STARS III) – The 8(a) STARS III GWAC is designed to promote small business utilization when purchasing information technology (IT) services or IT services-based solutions for the federal government. In addition to general IT services scope, 8(a) STARS-III includes two focused scope areas which include Emerging Technologies (ET) and OCONUS Place of Performance. The 8(a) STARS III program is reserved exclusively for qualifying certified 8(a) small business concerns as the prime contractors per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.8. 8(a) STARS III features: * Multiple award, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle * 5-year base with one 3-year option * $50 billion program ceiling * Directed Order Authority: Directed task orders up to $4.5 million each are allowed for federal civilian and Department of Defense activities* The scope of the 8(a) STARS III Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) is centered on North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541512 for Computer Systems Design Services but, may include other NAICS codes that are predominantly IT services. These NAICS codes may include, but are not limited to: 541511 Custom Computer Programming Services, 541513 Computer Facilities Management Services, 541519 Other Computer Related Services, and 518210 Software Publishers. The contract offers IT services ranging from simple to complex and services based solutions such as IT help-desk support, information assurance, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and more.
As a Best-in-Class contract, 8(a) STARS-III is designated by the office of Management and Budget (OMB) as a preferred government-wide solution.
